Animate Dead 6 - 8

Description This invocation summons a Spirit from the plane of the Sleepless dead to inhabit a corpse and animate it as an undead creation. The corpse upon which this invocation is cast must have been subject to a Flesh Rot invocation and may not have a Bless or Protection from Undead invocation in effect upon it or the invocation will fail. The type of undead animated and their abilities vary by the rank of the invocation as shown below:

The undead created is under the control of the caster and will obey his instructions to the letter (see Control Undead for more information).
Necromancers must carry and supply appropriate masks for undead summoned on adventures to ensure that a creature that is undead (and has therefore been subject to a Flesh Rot) can clearly be distinguished.

Description This invocation will destroy a single named Lesser or Greater Undead (such as a Greater Wraith or a Greater Ghoul but not a Greater Skeletal Warrior). It will have no effect upon an Undead that is neither Greater nor Lesser.

Description This invocation allows the caster to take control of a single Lesser or Greater Undead. The undead will follow commands given to it, however greater undead are more intelligent than lesser and will try to cause havoc if allowed to, via poor wording of commands. Greater undead will not obey a direct order to destroy themselves.
The name of the type of undead to be controlled (as normally revealed by the invocation discern undead) must be included in the vocals of this invocation. Only Lesser or Greater Undead may be controlled as a result of this invocation, Unique Undead are unaffected.
After the duration of the invocation has expired, control reverts to the necromancer responsible for raising the undead, unless another previous control is still running. Control of the Undead goes to the caster who cast the last control invocation still in operation.
Embody Undead 6 - 8

Description The caster summons a spirit from the plane of the sleepless dead to fortify his body.
At Rank 6 the embodied Undead will increase the casters Strength by one category.
At Rank 7 the embodied Undead will increase the caster Power Damage with a weapon by one rank.
At Rank 8 the embodied Undead provides the caster with 50 extra life points in the same way as a Rank 1 - 5 Embodiment.
Suitable role-playing is essential whilst this invocation is running. It should be obvious to observers that the character is not wholly himself.
Fortify Undead 6 - 8

Extendable? No
Description The caster is able to tap into the plane of the sleepless dead so as to strengthen and enhance his Undead creations. Once the invocation is cast it will remain in effect until released or the caster is slain. The caster may only have a single Fortify Undead of each rank 6 - 8 in effect at any one time.
At Rank 6 the caster may choose to either; double the number of hits of all undead he raises or increase the damage of all undead raised by him by one rank or make any ghoul raised by him only affected by Power Damage (magical spells that do not cause damage would still affect such ghouls).
At Rank 7 the caster may choose to either; double the number of hits of all undead he raises or increase the damage of all undead he raises by one rank or to give all skeletons, zombies and undead warriors raised the strength skill.
At Rank 8 the caster may choose any of the options available at Rank 6 and 7 or grant any ghoul summoned by him the ability to perform three paralysis effects with a one handed touch.
The effect provided by each rank of the Fortify Undead invocation must be chosen at the time of casting and cannot be changed without releasing and then recasting the invocation. Unless stated otherwise the effect of the invocation will apply to any undead raised through the use of the Animate Dead invocation.

Description Greater and Lesser Undead creatures view the caster of this invocation as Undead themselves. They will not attack the caster unless the caster attacks them or their creator.
After casting this invocation the caster should don a shade/wraith hood to indicate to the monsters that the invocation is in effect.
Mass Repel Life 8

Description This invocation causes all living creatures within the area of effect to move directly away from the caster for a distance of 10 feet. A victim prevented from moving the full distance by a solid object is pinned against that object for 10 seconds (or an appropriate proportion thereof corresponding with the distance he has been prevented from retreating).

Description This invocation enables a Necromancer to effectively communicate with a single Lesser or Greater Undead creature. It does not affect the natural (or unnatural) behaviour of the undead in any way. Neither does it compel the undead to respond, but if the undead does respond, all responses must be the truth.

Description This invocation enables a Necromancer to summon the spirit of a deceased individual into themselves. The spirit can then be forced by the caster to answer a single question truthfully.
The caster should inform the Referee of the question he asked the spirit in the next time out. In the meantime he should role-play the conflict between themselves and the summoned spirit until such time as the Referee provides the answer.
This is a very dangerous invocation to cast as there is a chance that the caster will not be able to force the spirit back out of his body. Because of this it is only possible to cast each rank of the Talk to Dead invocation once per adventure.
