Dai-fah-Dyne
Tower Location: Located in the Eight Hills west of Orin Rakatha.
Summary: The Dai-Fah-Dyne are a Tower of traders whose culture has an Arabic flavour. The recognised greeting for Dai-Fah-Dyne is: "Asalam Alikim", and the response is: "Wur Alikim Salam". They have four rulers, who are in command respectively of the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern parts of Orin Rakatha. They are constantly in a trade war with the Reader Tower. Although we have never actually warred with the Dai-Fah-Dyne we have come to blows with their people on many occasions. The Dai-Fah-Dyne trade with just about anyone, and are known to uphold agreements on pain of death. However, be absolutely sure of the wording of any deal as if there is a loophole to be found you can be sure they will take full advantage.
They used to control a plane travelling device called the World Window, which is now owned by the Kern Valley and they are keen to recover this lost device. This device was lost when the Dai-fah-Dyne recently lost their Tower due to some internal political machinations. However, they regained their Tower the next year, with some assistance from a group of adventurers from the Kern Valley, led by High Priestess Yana. For this reason, the Dai-fah-Dyne are currently well disposed to the Kern Valley, although who knows how long this will last for.
Notes:Recently, the Dai-fah-Dyne took over the contract of the Azad-An as their protectors, where the Azan-An used to protect the Reader. There is some controversy over this.
Colours:The Dai-fah-Dyne are identifiable by their distinctive green and brown parti-coloured clothing.
