High Priest BoShek
BoShek is a rock. To put it more precisely he was part of the mountains surrounding Orin Rakatha that became sentient, possible due to the influence of the mists. Although he has never met another of his kind he remembers some of their deeds and legends and sometimes refers to relatives he could not realistically have. The greatest of the Stone Troll legends is that the mountains surrounding Orin Rakatha are all in fact the ancient ones, sleeping as they wait for their time to come again, a new age where eternal stone will rule those of the flesh. A curious fact of BoSheks physiology means that the hotter he gets the slower and more dim-witted he becomes, it is not unusual for him to stop entirely and become as a rock when the sun beats down in the summer months. During the night and periods of intense chill however he can prove to be slyer and smarter than his guttural speech and appearance would indicate.
BoShek was found by a group of adventurers and was returned to Wolfhold as property of the Seers sect. The Seers placed him under a charm such that he would always loyally serve a master (or mistress) of the sects choosing. Thus for the first years of his career BoShek was the dedicated bodyguard of lady Virana and together they were part of Team Amethyst, a group who were exiled from the Towers only to return later named as heros of the Alliance. During these adventures BoShek discovered the influence that the Seers sect had placed him under and rebelled against both Virana and the Seers sect. Although he has since forgiven Virana, believing that she was too inexperienced at the time to be aware of the situation, he is still aggressive and uneasy around members of the Seers (particularly Lord Snarlow whom he blames personally).
It was during his trials with Team Amethyst that BoShek mad his first pact with the Evil Sphere, aging him to the point of adulthood (no one knows how long this would have taken naturally). His skin became as stone as his body would repair itself given time. A side effect of this pact was that the good sphere will no longer touch him but rather than bemoan the lack of healing BoShek revels in the strength of the Evil Sphere and mocks the Good Sphere as instilling weakness and dependence in its followers.
Free from the Seers and now a fanatically dedicated servant to the Baron Ulthar BoShek through himself into his training the Dark Brethren and joined High Priest Arakais and his group during the turbulent times following the death of Lord Blackwolf. Raised to High Priesthood by the Baron himself BoShek continued to show great loyalty to those he followed no matter the cost. Arakais and his group were influential in the election process that resulted in Lord Dalvain Spellsword becoming the new leader of Wolfhold, Morgul wraiths were also a feature. During this time High Priest Arakais aided BoShek in his second pact with the Dark Powers further proving in his eyes the weakness of the Good Sphere and the strength of the Dark.
With Lord Spellsword on the throne of Wolfhold and Arakais busy with his duties as assistant guildleader of the Dark Path BoShek found himself, for the first time, without a leader in the field. Encouraged by Baron Ulthar to take a more commanding role as befits a High Priest of the Dark Brethren BoShek lead the next major quest from the towers himself. Although racked by a terrible wasting disease BoShek and the group succeeded in their secret task and for the third time he was named Hero of the Alliance.
Having seen much action in his time as an adventurer BoShek took something of a sabbatical, spending his time training the acolytes of his sect, until Baron Ezekial Mourntark called upon those who had pledged to help him with his quest to return home. Ever loyal to those he respects BoShek once again hefts his axe and casting kit and prepares to leave the towers.
